The coolest active wear labels to sweat better

Active wear is on the rise! Covid-19 forced us to work from home, which made joggings and sweats the uniform. After almost 3 months lockdown, our loungedrawer starts to be understocked. In our search for new comfortable clothing - i.e. outfits you can wear from morning yoga till apero - we bumped into these pretty labels.
The Girlfriend Collective
"Our goal is to be as transparant as possible"
Already from their Instagram account you can see that this label wants to be as inclusive as possible. Bye regular models, hello real people.
This philosophy is extended to the full branding of the label. The Girlfriend Collective wants to be as transparant as possible in their production, by choosing every part of our process, from the raw materials to their facilities to their partners, with care.
Beyond that, they wanted to find a community of people who cared about where their clothes come from as much as how they look.
Nimble Activewear
"Our signature fabric is made of recycled plastic bottles"
When it comes to lounge wear, high rise leggings are priority. This cult Aussie brand is known for its edgy yet feminine prints and extremely comfortable leggings.
Masterminds behind the brand are Katia and Vera, business partners and best friends. They found a real gap in the market for sophisticated women’s activewear that was not only beautiful and on-trend but which also offered the technical performance qualities that you need while getting your sweat on. It was from this that the idea for Nimble Activewear grew as we set out to create the pieces that we, as consumers, we're looking for.
The Upside Sport
"A bold brand for time savvy, sporty individuals"
Founder Jodhi Maeres is a yogi oscillating between New York and Hawaii. Her idea was to come up with a bold brand for ambitieus, time savvy individuals who led demanding lives but cherished their training. (We must say: very BRAAV!)
THE UPSIDE was born to fill that void for men and women alike and the Sydney based brand has earned its place as one of the top activewear labels in the global market without abandoning functionality or premium style.
Year of Ours
"Our line is designed to glide form spin class to a dinner with friend"
Year of Ours is a female-led, LA-based brand with an inclusive, “team spirit” ethos at our core. Their entire line is designed to be multipurpose and easy to transition from daily wear to workout - all without sacrificing performance.
They know that modern life allows no time for outfit changes, so their constantly evolving line of high-waist leggings, style-forward sports bras, tees, tanks, hoodies and loungewear is designed to glide seamlessly from spin class or pilates, to a dinner out with friends.
Since our inception, we’ve rolled out extended sizing - that ranges from XXS to 2X - and introduced brand new cuts, color palettes and fabric formulas intended to fit an even wider range of lifestyles.
Hale
"We are a passion project to empower women to feel their best"
HALE is the brainchild of two sisters who grew up, played and now work together to build something that is their own and that they believe in. They don't think of themselves as another activewear brand, but more of a passion project to empower women to feel their best, because life is complicated enough to dress uncomfortably.
They find their inspiration in real life, and in Barcelona. The capital is a city of balance: work and play, historic and modern, global and local, land and sea... With this spirit they have carefully designed a new brand of quality activewear for all of us.
Outdoor Voices
"Our mission is to get the world moving"
Outdoor Voices believes that doing things, like moving your body & having fun with friends, is the surest way to a happy and a healthy life.
On their website we read: "When you let go of the expectation to perform, that’s when the real magic happens. You learn that the joy of the game will always outlast a win. You learn that friends who sweat together, stick together. And you learn that moving creates endorphins, and Endorphins Make You Happy." (Also very Braav!)
The label wants to free fitness from performance and wants to bring back the fun. In other words: it isn’t about being first or fastest, it’s about showing up often.
Outdoor Voices reinvests sustainably in their business to have the greatest global impact.
